Caitlin Welby and Angela Edmond upon return from the New York Times Food For Tomorrow Conference

RFX was proud to sponsor the first annual New York Times Food for Tomorrow conference last week at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, NY. The event was hosted by New York Times journalist and food writer, Mark Bittman. During the event, chefs, farmers, food distributors and activists discussed some very real problems with the way food is presented to the world, and the challenges we face: how to feed the growing population of the world’s poor and how to reverse poor eating habits in the developed world.

RFX was excited to be a part of these discussions. It is every person’s birthright to have access to real food and clean water. We feel very passionate about this topic at RFX. We seek to align ourselves with other people and organizations who are as passionate about this topic as we are. We hope to use our influence and our experience as a 62-year old refrigerated motor carrier to bring about great change in our world.

RFX was represented at the conference by Angela Edmond, our Atlanta-based Independent Freight Agent as well as Caitlin Welby, Co-Owner & Senior Vice President of Strategy. Below are some photos taken throughout the week.
