RFX Chairman, Jim Morse Receives the TIA Heritage Award

April 21, 2015

RFX Chairman, Jim Morse was the recipient of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) Heritage Award, presented on Friday, April 17 at the annual TIA Capital Ideas Conference in Orlando, Florida. The award was given to Jim Morse for his 25 years of service to TIA. The TIA Heritage Award is given each year to a person, company or organization for significant contributions to TIA and the third-party logistics industry.

In presenting the award, TIA President, Bob Voltmann said “The Award was created in 1998 to recognize a member of the industry that has worked tirelessly to advance the industry and TIA.  The Executive Committee recognizes your leadership and commitment to both the industry and all of its trade associations.”

In response to receiving his award, Jim Morse said “I’d like to thank TIA for this award.  I am honored to receive it.  But thinking about it, I should be the one giving an award to TIA.  I’ve been in this industry for 46 years; have been members of TIA for 25 years, and I’ve been an active member in all of the major trade associations.  I can honestly say that TIA is the very best trade association I have ever worked with.  The opportunities to learn, network, and build lasting friendships are the things that set TIA apart from other groups.  The TIA staff is made up of a group of bright, results driven, and caring people who make it easy for members like RFX to learn and benefit from TIA membership.  TIA’s leadership, it’s Board of Directors, and Directors Circle members have always been fully engaged and committed to its members and our industry.  My mindset has been that all of us in this industry have an obligation to make this industry as great as it can be and TIA membership is the best way to do just that.”

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for TIA, Jim Morse also serves as Chairman of the TIA Operations Committee, which recently published the TIA Cargo Claims Framework, he is a member of the TIA Services Board of Directors of which he was also Treasurer, a member of the TIA Contracts Committee, a previous member of TIA Financing Committee, the TIA Nominating Committee and the TIAPAC Chairman’s Circle.
