For Immediate Release:

Avon, MA – January 20, 2015 – At a Board of Directors Meeting on Tuesday, RFX Inc., Refrigerated Food Express Inc., and Pioneer Transfer LLC announced the election of Caitlin Welby as President and CEO, and Jim Morse as Chairman of the Board.

Jim Morse has been with the Company for 27 years and was President & CEO after second generation owner, Tom Welby, passed away in December 2000. Jim said “I’ve always looked at my position as being a shepherd for the next generation to watch over the company until such time as either or both of Tom’s daughters were ready, willing and able to take over and as Tom’s friend, I promised to do just that.”

Tom’s youngest daughter, Caitlin, has been very active in the business serving most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy.   She is very bright, compassionate, has vision and good instincts.  Caitlin strongly believes in the core values of Trust, Transparency, Truth, Integrity and People FIRST.

Jim said “I know that Tom Welby would be so proud of this moment and I am honored to make the announcement.”

In accepting the President/CEO position, Caitlin said “What can I say? I fell in love with trucking, our RFX family, and the amazing social platform we have to disseminate the values with which I was raised. I believe that how we do what we do matters. And I believe that is part of the gift that RFX delivers to both the industry and the American family. I was raised to put people first, to trust and to be open and honest; to expect integrity and accountability and always lead by example. Many teachers would say this is no easy feat. Jim has shown the utmost grace and support over the last year and a half by advising, teaching and mentoring me. This is also the first time in RFX history that we have been able to design and choose a successor without us having to react to an untimely family death. This is our opportunity to shift from reactive to proactive, in an industry that is often changing faster than the world around us. I couldn’t be more grateful to earn the opportunity to carry on my family’s legacy as the third generation leader of the RFX family.”
